One, long sales letter still out perform more than twice as well as short sales letter. The bottom line is, that once a person has decided they are in the market for a particular item, they want information, and the more information the better. They also want reassurance that they are making a wise choice. Tell me that it is good, and then make me feel good about buying it from you. Seem to be the key.
Two, *Scientifically Proven.* These words seem so hold some magic key for unlocking people’s wallets when they are buying something online. To know that the argument for them making a good decision is backed up by good science is a sure fire way to lower a person’s guard and open them up to making a buying decision.
Three, learning search engine optimization seems to be the foundation that much of the targeted and sound online marketing is based on. Not only is it important to get your site ranked well in the search engines, but it is the key to article writing, ad placement, and getting the best possible understanding of how customers are finding the information as well as what they are looking for.
Fourth, the way business plans have been used in the past has to be completely rethought. It was not uncommon for a person who was into developing a plan for their business to tell you what their 5 year business plan was. Today, no one would even consider making a plan that far out, because we all expect to see enough change in the short term to make trying to think 5 years in advance just about impossible.
Fifth, too many people fall into the trap of doing what it looks like everyone else is doing, especially when selling their eBooks. The truth is when you are in the information marketing business, you have an opportunity to set new standards and charge what you think it is worth.
Many times the perception is set by the price before someone ever gets a chance to look at what might be better or best or worth more to the market. If you are the first to write about a new trend, or you go more thoroughly into a topic than anyone else has, or more importantly, you bring a unique perspective to a topic, you get to help set the perception of the value of your eBook by choosing a price that says my product is worth more.
These 5 points are all little things that can make a big difference and are all shaped by a person’s knowledge and perception. I guess that is why Napoleon Hill called his book, *(Think) and Grow Rich.*
