In part I and II of this article series we learned how to set up a Clickbank account and that we can advertise for free through blogging and article submission after creating a simple and free website. So let’s teach you a thing or two about creating that perfect article or blog to drive people to your site.
I know a lot of you are thinking I can’t write, so I can’t do this. You can, and it is much easier then you might believe. The first step is writing about something you know about and believe in. When you signed up through Clickbank you probably realized that there around 10,000 products that you could promote.
My personal advice, which you don’t have to follow is this, only pick products that you would use yourself. If you choose to promote a product that you don’t believe in you won’t be able to give expert advice in an article or write a convincing article, and if you don’t believe it how can you make someone else believe in it.
After you pick out the product you would like to promote start planning your marketing ideas. Articles have a few key elements that can make or break you. First the title of your article, this is one of the most important parts of your article and the shortest. Create a title that is key word friendly so search engines can find it as well as it should accurately describe what you are going to write about.
The next aspect is the abstract portion of the article, tell them what you are going to tell them. In this section be specific and keyword friendly as well. The body of the article is the main portion of your article submission. Do not just promote your business but give advice, tips and knowledge on the subject. On a side note people love getting free tips. Do not overstuff your article with key words, remember you are writing for a person not a search engine.
The body of your article should be between 400 and 1,000 words. If you write too few words you will not seem credible and too many words you will lose the readers interest before they completely learn about your product. Make it easy to read, entertaining or educational what ever will grab your reader’s attention. The last section is the reference box, this is where you can redirect people to get more ideas from your site (the product you are trying to sell). If you write your article correctly you will establish trust between you and your reader, and leave them wanting for more so they will visit your site.
Don’t be discouraged if your first article or blog doesn’t drive in the traffic you want, try, try, and try again. You will get much better over time also you can read the Handbook of Article Writing written by Michelle Ruberg and Ben Yagoda for great tips and advice.
So now we now how to set up an affiliate account, create a free website and get free advertising through writing articles and blogs. Learn the final steps to your success at running your own online business in part IV of this series.
