No, I have not been paid off to write this article. The only thing I get out of this is the satisfaction that maybe, just maybe, somebody reading this will actually get something out of it. Why? Well, I’m getting a little sick and tired of people complaining to me that they can’t get any traffic to their site and want to know what they can do to attract people. I tell them, but they don’t want to listen. What do I tell them? I tell them to write articles and submit them to Ezine Articles, just like the one you’re reading now. Why should they do this? I’ll give you some very good reasons if you’ll keep reading.

Here’s 637 of them. That’s right, 637. Know what that number represents? That’s the Alexa rank of Ezine Articles as of this writing. What that means is that there are only 636 more visited sites on all the Internet. There are over 8600 sites that link into Ezine Articles. I could keep throwing numbers at you but I think you get the picture. People come here, lots of people.

Okay, so what does this have to do with Internet marketing and how can it help you? Well, for starters, you have to understand why people come to Ezine Articles. They come here to get information on a variety of topics. I won’t go through them all, but trust me, they cover just about anything you can think of. As a matter of fact, if you do an Internet search for just about anything online, you’re almost certain to find articles on it right here at this directory.

Yeah, I know, you’re still asking me, “Why should I do this?” The reason should be obvious, but maybe not. So let me explain.

When you submit an article to Ezine Articles, they allow you to place in your signature, or resource box as they call it, a link to your web site. Now, there are some rules for doing this, such as it must be a top level domain. In other words, you can’t send people to some affiliate page. And there are other rules that you have to abide by. You can check them out at their terms of service. But trust me, they’re not that hard. You’ll find over 400 of my articles here alone.

The end result is this. I get people to my web site. They check out what I have to offer and some of them become customers. Naturally, you have to provide value, but as an Internet marketer, you already do that, right? So just write about what you know, especially if it pertains to whatever your business is, and watch the visitors come pouring to your site.
