You don’t know me but I think you’ll be glad you ran across my article pretty soon. You see, I’m a whole lot like you but most likely there is one distinct, important, experience difference.

I’m 59 years old! I’ve been in business for 35 years! I was, and am, mostly successful. Sure, I had my bad times. Times when I thought the chances of my survival were very small. I’ve despaired and I’ve celebrated.

I have had to learn a lot to get where I am.

A few months back (that’s how long it takes to know your way around) I decided I’d get into Internet Marketing. I’ve always been in sales so it seems a natural. But, please, can I tell you what I am most excited about regarding Internet Marketing?

First, it costs you very little to get started.

Second, you can start learning right away. (more on this later)

Third, there is good earnings potential.

And Fourth, (and for me this is a biggie) you can do this from almost anywhere.

All you need is moderate computer knowledge, the ability to get online, a little time to apply to the pursuit, and the skills necessary to make it happen.

Oops! I just let THE SECRET out of the bag. The secret to Internet Marketing success is having the skills needed to succeed at Internet Marketing.

There you go. The skills. Call them what you want but if you don’t acquire the skills necessary for success at Internet Marketing you will fail and that is ugly. It happens, but it doesn’t have to happen! You can acquire the skills! You can succeed! You can make money online!

I am currently enrolled in a school that teaches Online Marketing. When I first got there I knew very little. The first four videos were aimed at giving the newcomers a Big Picture with Details and Explanation of the various ways of making money online. Then the curriculum goes into Markets, Niche Markets, Keywords and Research. You know, it kind of bored me but I learned it and being able to research keywords and niche markets has done me a lot of good. Honestly, you can’t get far without it.

That’s why, when a newcomer to Internet Marketing (IM) asks me how they could get into making money online I always stress acquiring the skills needed for success.

Do that. Read up, join a school or forum and learn! I did all three. I’m still learning everyday. If you do that you’ll be able to see your own way to monetizing the many opportunities on the web. You can take this knowledge to the bank!
